A list in the morning, the coins for it in the evening.

VoidQuest shows a kid the day as quests with time windows, pays coins for what is done and lets the kid spend them on rewards, on stickers for an album and on parts for a character.

The kid's Today screen in the German app: a greeting with the character Funke, a streak chip, 160 coins, progress 4 of 5 and the quests of the day, sorted into Now and Done. Funke, a drawn flame with a neckerchief, waving.

A kid's day

This is the ground everything stands on: parents set what is due, the kid checks it off inside the time window, and the coins for it are there at once. Everything a kid gets in VoidQuest comes out of those coins.

  1. 1

    Create

Parents create a quest with weekdays, a time window and coins. Every morning that becomes the day list the kid sees on their device.

  2. 2

    Check off

Inside the time window the check-in counts at once and pays the bonus with it. A reminder arrives at the start and again shortly before the bonus runs out. After that the quest goes to the parents as a late claim.

  3. 3

    Collect

Coins move into the balance the kid can spend. The all-time coins rise with them, and whoever reaches the streak threshold of the day carries the streak on.

  4. 4

    Spend

The shop holds the rewards the parents agreed on. The kid asks for one, the parents fulfil it or hand the coins back.

The kid's shop in the German app: the balance of 150 coins at the top right, below it four rewards. Ice cream for 50 coins, 30 minutes of extra screen time for 30 coins and a new sticker pack for 40 coins are ready to redeem; the cinema trip for 200 coins carries the line that 50 coins are still missing.

The shop

This is where a kid spends coins. The balance stands at the top, the rewards below it with what they cost. Whatever the kid can afford is ready to redeem; everything else says how many coins are still missing.

And the parents?

The parents' side is built for the overview: a form for new quests, an inbox for everything that waits on a decision, one page with all the kids on it and the list of rewards that stands in the kid's shop. On top of that terms for school time and holidays, and exceptions for illness, a bridge day or a trip.

  • The parents' inbox in the German app: a quest a kid would like to skip today and a requested reward, each with two buttons for the decision.

    Inbox

A late claim takes one of three buttons: full, base only, reject.

  • The parents' family overview in the German app: a note about two open decisions, 8 of 10 quests done today, and below that each kid with streak, coins and weekly goal.

    Family

Where every kid stands, on one page, live through the day.

  • The parents' rewards screen in the German app: the line about what the kids can earn, a button for a new reward, the choice between shop, albums and avatar, and below it four rewards for all kids: ice cream for 50 coins, 30 minutes of extra screen time for 30 coins, a cinema trip for 200 coins and a new sticker pack for 40 coins.

New

Albums, stickers, a character of one's own

This is what a kid spends coins on: two sticker albums and the avatar workshop. Every sticker has its fixed place in the album, the kid sticks it in for its coin price, and from then on it stays there. A full album brings the achievement Album complete, a part for the character and the reward the parents picked for it.

The avatar workshop

Every family has its own characters, and each kid shapes them differently. New parts come for coins, a few of them only with a full album.

What else belongs to it

The kid's achievements screen in the German app: a grid of unlocked and still open achievements, below it the streak with the record and the streak shields.

Achievements and goals

Achievements for streaks, for all-time coins and for a full album. On top of that a weekly goal and a monthly goal that pay bonus coins once they are reached.

Second parent and fans

The second parent joins by invitation and holds the same rights. A grandmother, a grandfather or the au pair joins as a fan: they watch and cheer with an emoji and a sentence.

The journal

The kid reads back what they managed, and the parents see the same in the history, sorted by day.

One phone for two

When a kid has no device of their own, there is VoidQuest Kids: the same app as a second installation that knows the kid sign-in only. The page about it is in German.

Paid for by families, not by data

The database sits in Western Europe, the emails travel through a provider in Ireland. For every kid the app collects a parent's consent under Article 8 GDPR. Kids sign in with a QR code or a PIN from the parent's device, never through Google or Apple.
